Opening up to FTAs (Free Trade Agreements) without due consideration have detrimental effects. Growth should always be about employment generation and sustainable development outcomes without hurting the ecosystem and local industries. The RCEP covers intellectual property rights, investment, services etc. By overcommitting, countries exposed themselves to tricky legal situations which would be injurious to their own citizens. citizen.org/Page.aspx?pid=5329
