Operating out of authority verses fear and intimidation. There was a young father in his car with his kids minding his business sitting down town waiting for his wife to finish a business meeting and a police car slowly drives by shining a bright light at the father sitting in the front seat of the vehicle. I understand that they were doing their job not to discourage that in any way but when you use your power(authority) in this manner as a protector of the people its harassment and intimidation. Does the officer not know who they are and the authority they have? All the officer had to do was pull up beside the young man and ask him what was he doing. But when you operate out of fear instead of power your actions come across as harassing and intimidating although the officer was doing his job it came across as evil. Romans 14:16 Let not then your good be evil spoken of: 3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same: Romans 13:3 We are not to use our authority to rule by fear because instead of trying to create good works you will create evil works. As children of God learn the God given authority you have in the earth by studying the life of Christ and the disciples so you are no longer deceived by the enemy. You will truly be amazed. Glory to God.
