Operation POP Begins today: Eighteen months ago, CBS became co-owner of Lionsgate’s TV Guide Network (TVGN), a cable network. Lionsgate and CBS have rebranded TVGN as POP and redefined the network to be “a multi-platform destination dedicated to celebrating the fun of being a fan”. At POP, ”fans don’t sit at the outskirts of pop culture making snarky comments, they live right smack in the middle of it, sharing, creating, and connecting their passions with others. At POP, fans finally have a destination that celebrates the fun of being a fan.” POP will start airing in 2015 and the Jericho episodes will encore on the network. POP has recently appointed Pam Bertino, as the Senior Vice President, Content Distribution. For Operation POP, we will be sending weekly e-mails to Ms. Bertino asking her to consider making new Jericho episodes that would air on POP. I suggest that since POP is about fans, that your e-mails talk about why you are a Jericho fan. E-mail is [email protected] There will be a weekly reminder posted on Wednesday. Fans Without Cable: CBS has prepared for the “cord-nevers”(will never get cable) and now has a low cost streaming service called All Access. Episodes will be available the day after they air on CBS. Learn about CBS All Access here: cbs/all-access/upsell/?intcid=CIA1b72533 International Fans: CBS has licensed Netflix, to air Jericho in all of their foreign markets. Netflix has expanded into these countries: France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium and Luxembourg. This announcement happened around the same time POP was announced, so Netflix is still interested in Jericho’s future. International viewers can continue to ask Netflix for new Jericho episodes.
