Operation Splash - 2013 The City of Riverside Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department (PRCSD) is teaming up with Kaiser Permanente to help deserving residents stay cool and physically fit during the hot summer. Scholarships are available for many of the aquatic programs thanks to a generous grant from the Kaiser Foundation. The mission of Operation Splash is to support aquatic facilities and swim programs that help increase physical activity in low-income areas, diminish the risk of chronic disease, and build strong bodies. The program encourages all participants to become water-safe in a fun and healthy environment. Aquatic programs that are available for scholarships are: Swim Lessons, Jr. Lifeguard camp, pool passes and Silver Swimmers swim pass. Operation Splash Kickoff – June 24, 2013. The launch of Operation Splash will take place on Monday, June 24, at 3:00 p.m. at Sippy Woodhead Pool, 2060 University Ave. The event will include free food, entertainment and FREE recreational swim.
