Operations Manager Retail-TANZANIA TZS 12,458 683/USD $7650 Our client is recruiting for an Operations Manager to oversee company operations in Uganda and Tanzania This role will be based in Dar es Salaam in Tanzania This person will travel between the stores in the various countries THIS ROLE IS ONLY OPEN TO LOCAL TANZANIA CITIZENS The role will be to provide cost-effective operational and procedural support to all stores in the two countries ensuring a safe and hygienic store environment, delivering the highest levels of customer care and the optimal utilisation of all Company assets while minimising risk and shrinkage against specific benchmarks across the countries. Key Responsibilities Implement / execute relevant parts of the In country Operating Plan Integrate with the head Office support areas to ensure delivery of the operating plan Identify and communicate opportunities for improved policies, processes and procedures on behalf of the countries. Minimise business risks by ensuring adequate admin controls are in place. Identify & communicate preventive measures and controls based on audit findings to ensure that risk is adequately managed. Represent the countries by participating in projects, new business initiatives and systems ensuring it is tailored for In Country. Represent user community on projects & co-opt people when required. Provide finance, admin & systems training for all stores as required. Assessing training needs in the field and recommending an appropriate action plan Provide ongoing operational / procedural support across all disciplines for all stores. Provide guidance on business processes & policies for business initiatives. Provide input into efficient design and development of new systems & admin processes. Provide input into effective and efficient design of systems related policies and procedures and the subsequent publishing on the policy guide. Provide effective communication to stores to ensure that policies and procedures are understood and implemented. Identify system enhancements/bugs, document business case for change, and motivate inclusion to the business work log. Implement and roll-out new systems / business initiatives within the agreed standards and timelines Integrate with Information delivery to ensure that In Country reporting requirements are met. To ensure that new stores open with fully operational systems. Ensure that store staff is adequately trained to competently administer systems.
