Opinion Arch. Obong Victor Attah is a Stateman. BEWARE OF THE ENEMIES WITHIN. My leader, a stateman per excellence,permit me to write this piece,pardon if I err yet be assured of my unwavering RESPECT to you for LIFE. As at when Obong Victor was the Governor of this great state,the likes of me where still trying to get our Bsc,thus I do not qualify in experience in writing what I here attempt to. Nonetheless, I am aware as street history has it that,The closest Ibibios Stabbed Attah when he presented a succession plan as his time drew to a close as Governor of our dear state. This you must not forget in a hurry Sir,as they call on you again. Today,some disgruntled Ibibios who despised the wisdom of their Governor then do beckon to our amiable stateman in the person of Obong Arch Victor Attah with wild speculations engulfed in wicked intent of Rubbishing his person. Sir,dont give these elements of whose stock in trade is deceit, the privilege of tarnishing your hard earn image of statemanship again. Today,the same people who fanned themselves in the lows of this great stateman now desires he show cases himself as a Messiah,Hero and Saviour of their greed. They knowing the love and respect we the younger generation have for Obong Victor Attah,thinks in terms of cajoling our emotions on TRIBAL sentiments. Street gist has it that on 5th September 2014 at Asan Ibibio Obong Victor Attah shall speak to us the Ibibios,when crowned as the Leader of the Ibibio Nation,the fourth largest tribe in Nigeria. Yes,we must have a sense of direction but it must not be in the ANTAGONISTIC show of pay back time as anti- uncommon Transformer cartel are saliently nudging the unsuspecting to follow. As a Stateman, we the youths of this great state hope and wish our aggrieved brothers and elders will channel their energy to more productive ventures than instigate animosity and open old wounds just to satisfy vain mortal desire for vengeance,thus hiding behind the cloak of giving respect and honour to a man;Obong Arch. Victor Attah whose wisdom of yesteryears they despised. This Stateman does not need such honours from wolves in sheep clothing. This cries of Tribal wars is uncalled for, Obong Arch Victor Attah is our and will lead us but not in the direction of hatred,greed,petty vengeance and Injustice. As a stateman,the interest of the future generation should be paramount in the very core of inspiration on that faithful day. I dare say many who anticipate battle lines to be drawn by this respectable stateman will be disappointed. This Stateman will not stoop so low to the level of little minds whose nature is to breed mega problems. Sir,for years,this men forgot you existed and despised your wisdom,but when fate visited them,they now wish to sing a new tune. It is their nature to sing different tunes as their interest differs,please BEWARE of their new found love for you. I believe them not. You are king of the Ibibio Nation,Congratulations.
