I am on vacation, and it has been a very good week for me. I probably should stop there. But the show must go on. President Obama did not having as good a week. Secretary of State John Kerry is trying to negotiate a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas in Gaza with no success. We are watching an artificially manufactured massacre where both sides will become more isolated, yet both sides will claim victory. “Add to that, the president has announced more and tougher sanctions against Russian President Putin, but Putins intransigence in eastern Ukraine goes on. “Mr. Obama urges cooperation from Congress on money for infrastructure and for dealing with illegal immigrants from Central America -- and gets nowhere. Mr. Obama gets mixed signals from the courts on his signature Affordable Care Act, but it is still unpopular. “The unemployment rate is down but few people say they are feeling better (or even just good) about things. And people wonder why he goes on vacation. Ask me.
