Opinions: For K, we started with booksharks history (kids hated it and werent really retaining anything) and switched to SOTW (a lot more interesting and they are retaining some of it). My question is this: For the early grades like this (K and into 1st for next year), do you teach history or more of a geography? Opinions? I remember when I was this age, I think we worked more on reading maps and directional names and town/city/state, etc. I like SOTW, but just wondering if thats really what we should be focusing on at this age?? Looking ahead for next year. What do you think?
