Risk and Compliance Deputy Director: Risk Management Requirements: ●A National diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Commerce, Finance or Auditing ●3 - 5 years managerial experience in a Risk Environment ●Knowledge of the Public Service Act, Public Service Regulations, the Public Finance Management Act and Treasury Regulations ●Proficiency in project management ●MS Office packages ●Competencies should include people management, strategic capability and leadership, good communication (verbal and written) skills and problem solving skills ●Ability to work well with all levels of management and across business units and agencies reporting to the dti ●Willingness to travel. Duties: ●Facilitate strategic and divisional risk workshops and compile risk registers ●Finalise and quality assure all project risk registers ●Facilitate the testing of all business continuity plans ●Educate and train risk staff and Management in all Divisions ●Provide support to risk champions ●Conduct risk management, ethics promotion and fraud prevention awareness campaigns per training plan ●Analyse and compile reports for inclusion in all Divisions and relevant Committees ●Finalise and quality assure all BCP test and progress reports per quarter ●Recruit, develop and manage staff. INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT POLICY DEVELOPMENT DIVISION (IDPD) Capital Equipment and Metals Deputy Director: Capital Equipment and Allied Services Requirements: ●A National diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Mechanical Engineering, Mining Engineering and/or Industrial Engineering ●3 to 5 years managerial experience in Economic Policy, Industrial Engineering and Manufacturing ●Knowledge of the National Industrial Policy Framework (NIPF), Industrial Policy Action Plan (IPAP) and National Development Plan ●Knowledge of the Public Finance Management Act and Treasury Regulations ●Good analytical, communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills ●Good knowledge and understanding of policy management processes ●Good computer and report writing skills ●Good knowledge of Contract/Project Management and Procurement processes. Duties: ●Periodically update and review the Capital Equipment and Allied Services sector strategy and policies in line with the dti and Government policy and priorities ●Provide support in the development of key Action plans and interventions for the IPAP and business plan processes ●Develop, promote and seek funding for projects and activities that enhance the competitiveness of the Capital Equipment and Allied Services sector in South Africa ●Develop and maintain an electronic database of suppliers in the Capital Equipment and Allied Services sector in South Africa ●Provide support in the analysis, including conducting research and case studies, of the Capital Equipment and Allied Services sector in South Africa ●Conduct research to identify opportunities to support localisation and increase local content in State procurement ●Compile monthly progress reports on the performance of the sector and ensure that projects are executed within timeframes and budget ●Participate in the identification of stakeholders’ needs ●Liaise with relevant stakeholders in the Capital Equipment and Allied Services sector in South Africa. Salary: An all-inclusive package of R630 822 per annum ●Ref.
