Opportunity: E- Teacher Course Dear All, Once again we have the opportunity to nominate Uruguayans for the E-Teacher scholarship program. The E-Teacher Scholarship Program are 10-week on-line courses that explore major areas of the academic specialty of Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL). The program offers nine innovative, online, graduate level classes to English teaching professionals outside of the United States through the University of Oregon: umbc.uoregon.edu/eteacher/ The courses will be offered in 2014. Tuition and materials are 100% covered by the Department of State. The program offers professional development opportunities to foreign ELT educators through intensive online courses provided by a U.S. academic institution. Courses introduce participants to current English language teaching methods and techniques and provide participants direct access to U.S. ELT experts. Courses emphasize a learner-centered approach to language teaching and are conducted entirely in English. Twenty-six of the E-Teacher top performers will be selected to attend a three-week professional development workshop in the U.S. in the summer of 2014. Requirements: Candidates for E-Teacher scholarships should be current teacher trainers or teachers, highly motivated individuals who are dedicated both to their own professional development and to sharing the knowledge gained with colleagues.
