Opportunity available – HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER Our Client - a retail marketing agency, with decades of experience in launching, managing and delivering clients brands across retail channels is seeking to hire an experienced Human Resources Manager. Summary The job holder is responsible for providing human resource, working collaboratively with the management team, to ensure that the company attracts, develops, motivates and retains the talent required to achieve business objectives. The position has regional responsibilities. Key responsibilities: • Develop and improve existing HR processes, policies and documents, including performance management processes, employment contracts, employee manuals, etc. in consultation with senior management • Manage the end to end recruitment process; • Maintain the work structure by ensuring that clear job descriptions and contracts exist for all positions, and included responsibilities • Ensure the necessary documents for new employees • Create and maintain official staff Personnel Files and all documents and records • Conduct training and development programs • Grievance handling and dispute resolution • Manage all insurance for staff and third party arrangements • Provide counsel to the management team on salary and related benefits • Ensure organizational understanding and compliance with Kenyan tax and labor laws • Manage staff payroll and staff leave requests • Responsible for office administration function • Perform other duties, as assigned the MD. Qualifications, Skills & Experience • Relevant University degree. • Higher diploma in Human Resource Management. • Over 3 years’ experience handling HR and properties in different locations. • Working knowledge of Kenyan tax and labor laws. • Have well-developed communication (written/verbal), interpersonal and facilitation skills including the ability to liaise with individuals at all levels in a variety of situations. • Ability to organize work, manage multiple responsibilities and work as a part of a team. • Tact and diplomacy: Ability to lead and instill sense of general discipline • Confidentiality is a major requirement for this position. • He/she must have the ability to present information in forms, tables, and spreadsheets etc. • Must be a member of IHRM • Working knowledge of HRIS • Excellent administrative skills, in particular an appreciation for the importance of strong fiscal management. • An orientation towards customer service and responsiveness. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; commitment to accuracy and attention to details. • Good Negotiation skills and working with contracted 3rd party partners. • Project Management skills.
