Opportunity to gain biodiversity and ecophysiology fieldwork experience at the Sub-Antarctic Biocultural Conservation Program and Omora Ethnobotanical Park in Puerto Williams, Navarino Island, Chile. There is funding available to support the living and local travel expenses of a small number of graduate students to work for periods of several weeks as voluntary field assistants with Dr. Tamara Contador (Universidad de Magallanes) and Dr. Peter Convey (British Antarctic Survey), assisting with developing projects studying diversity and ecophysiological adaptation of invertebrates on Isla Navarino. For further information contact Dr. Contador at tamara.contador@yahoo or [email protected]. Note that no funding is available from this source to support international travel to Chile, although interest from international students is encouraged.
