Opposition legislators have taken the government to task to give an explanation on the continued inefficiencies rocking the farm input subsidy program. This comes as parliamentarians have started scrutinizing allocations to various ministries and government departments in the 2013/14 national budget. Democratic Progressive Party legislator for Chitipa North Nick Masewo proposed that the government should stop using middle men as transporters and distributors of farm inputs in the subsidy programme.
