Willa Cathers My Antonia is a book which could arouses the homesickness for old times and countryside life. it reminds the life of my grandparents and my parents as pioneers of Daqi Mountain.no house,no food,no shop, even no neighbor. So, i saw a familiar lives and persons and smell in this novel, though my family was the pioneers of a wood farm in a mountain area in the middle of China, not a corn farm in the middle of America. more important, my family is a tragedy of Communism and the result of imitating Soviet Union. however, i could feel some same things and same people in the novel, such as simple, peace, optimistic, kind, nature, and healthy..... i always image the life of an american peasant/farmer. is he miserable like a chinese peasant? or is his life romantic as a movie often tells? or is his life simple and peace like a filed of golden wheat. i had asked my professor Are there any farmers(i mean the peasant grow rice and crops) in MA? he told me there is 1% farmers in america and most of them live in west and south. there is almost no farmer already. It seems it is hard to find an american farmer. TO Antonia and pionners：有多少妇女保有着安东尼亚所失去的一切，可是她们内心的光彩消逝了， 安东尼亚没有。
