The Optus Engineering Cadet Programs is a combination of on-the-job learning and TAFE studies for a three-year period. Upon successful completion, you will have earned a Graduate Diploma of Telecommunications Engineering and can commence an exciting career in an Optus engineering position. This position will involve the design, installation, operation, maintenance and management of telecommunications networks and equipment. To facilitate your progress to the highly respected status of a qualified Optus engineer, the TAFE course will follow an accelerated pattern and be conducted at the Telecommunications Engineering Specialist Centre at Lidcombe, NSW. The on-the-job component will take place at various Optus sites in Sydney throughout the three-year program.
