Orange French Toast with Salted Caramel Syrup French Toast Ingredients: 1 cup milk 3 large eggs ¼ cup orange juice 1 tsp. orange zest, grated 1 tsp. vanilla extract ½ tsp. Diamond Crystal® Kosher Salt 8 slices country white bread 2 Tbsp. butter Salted Caramel Syrup Ingredients: ½ cup granulated sugar ¼ cup water ¼ cup light cream ½ Diamond Crystal® Kosher Salt Orange French Toast Directions: Whisk together milk, eggs, orange juice, zest, vanilla, and Diamond Crystal® Kosher Salt. Pour egg mixture in a shallow pan. Dip bread into egg mixture; soak for 45 seconds. Melt ½ Tbsp. butter in a large nonstick skillet over medium-low heat. Place 2 sliced of bread into skillet. Cook to golden brown, about 3 minutes on each aside, and keep warm. Continue with the remaining slices of bread. Serve immediately with the Salted Caramel Syrup. Salted Caramel Syrup Instructions: Combine sugar and water in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Stir to dissolve sugar. Bring to boil, reduce heat to medium, and cook for 8 minutes or until golden. Remove from heat. Gently stir in cream. Stir in Diamond Crystal® Kosher Salt. Set aside, and keep warm. Yield: 4 servings. **source: Cooking Light magazine; April 2012 issue; Pg. 28
