Order My Steps… “Order my steps in thy word: and let not any - TopicsExpress

Order My Steps… “Order my steps in thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me.” Psalms 119:133 KJV THOUGHT: I believe the scripture here is trying to say “direct” my steps – do not let sin dominate my life. But the thought has been so strong in my mind about a ‘sense of order’. If anyone has watched world news they have seen armies from all across the globe marching in extreme order. Together. They have practiced by the hour, by the day, by the month so that when they pass by the generals on parade day they look as though they are one body moving in total unison. They have learned to have a sense of timing. Precision. Perfectness. And I began to think of that in my own life…are MY steps in extreme precision with God’s? Do I move as one body with Him? Another verse states: “In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word WAS God”. So if we are in step with Him it also means we are in step with what the Word of God states. And when you wrap this all up, both definitions of ‘order’ go together. When He orders, I get myself in order with Him. Make sense? J EXTRA THOUGHT: “He who has never learned to obey cannot be a good commander.” Aristotle EXTRA EXTRA (ZINGERS): “A fair question could be posed in this fashion: If people are not obeying existing laws, what makes us think they would obey any new laws?” J.D. Hayworth Have a good one! Carol Durfee Happiness is not a matter of intensity but of balance and order and rhythm and harmony.
