Original Release Date: November 28th, 2010 Production Notes: What can I say when I feel like Im losin, pain hits hard with the force of Hadoukens. A Emcee on the beat featuring Ra Eye Be (a.k.a Pandana) on the mic. This is my take on the Street Fighter Alpha (or Zero in Japan) 2 themes for Sakura, Dan & the Staff Roll, melodically blended into one. I also mixed in vocals from part of my favorite line of the DDR jam Do it Right (line goes: and when all said and done, and your looking back now, is it all...how you dreamed it would be way back when?). But about the creation of this, the vocals came first, from when Pandana made the Winning is Way Better track with my Dan theme remix from 2008. I digged the lyrics he came up with, but the Dan remix he used is one of my least favorite things that I have done (which is why its nowhere online). So fast forward, few years later, I hit him up for the accapella, didnt think he would have it but he did...got it, dropped it into FL Studio and started to get to work on dat piano. Same ole tings. The first section of the song (before the beat and everything kicks in)...I tried to give it that despair/sorrow type vibe...make that Such A Loser status come through. Night time, head down, while leaning on the street light type of scene. After the Hadouken! part though, the lyrics get more inspirational instead of about failure, hence the beat, and the time of day on the video, get brighter. The mistake I made with this track though, the vocals are sometimes drowned out by the music and also go out of sync with the tempo. But people seem to like this still so I kept it up on YouTube. Everything after 2:24...I had fun with the SFA2 announcer and Dan vocal samples. I wont break down and connect what chords and melodies go with what theme for each covered. But if you have played Street Fighter Alpha 2 a lot...I am sure you will know whats from what (because to be honest, I made this FOR the SFA fans). Video wise...basic stuff, image placement planing and color bending for the night to daytime effect during the intro. Some sprite usage at the end for that authentic nod to SFA2. Anyways...Enjoy!
