(Original Star Trek Series Klaxon in background) FRENCH TOAST EMERGENCY ALERT! FRENCH TOAST EMERGENCY ALERT! This French Toast Emergency Alert is brought to you by your local dairy, egg and grain boards. Run out to your local store now and stock-up before the storm! Okay, exaggerations aside, wish I had access to the European Medium Range model that the Feds have access to so I could have three models to try and blend together, cause the timing isnt quite the same on the two I can look at. Both agree this storm will originate off Georgia as part of the left-overs of the front that passed through today. Itll move up the coast and grow in size/intensity as it passes into the Gulf of Maine and slams into Nova Scotia Wednesday Night into Thursday. Yep, were going to get snow here in Central Maine just in time for Turkey Day travel. Joy. Looks like itll start in time for to make the Wednesday evening commute fun for Disgusta (itll start snowing around 3pm or so here, so there could be an inch already on the ground in time for 5pm commute). Of the two models I have access to, one shows the storm should wrap-up by mid-morning on Thanksgiving, the other wrap-up around noon. Snow amount: tricky. Looks like at least 6 inches here in Augusta...if it falls as all snow...maybe as much as a foot. Im going conservative for now and will say 6 inches cause it looks like it could briefly start as rain (which would be good for evening commute), especially south of Disgusta towards the coast. Further Downeast you are the more snow youre going to see out of this one. The further inland/west of Augusta you are, the less youll see as its a coastal storm.
