Original Walk on Apr 29, drinking mate with Argentinians on the Fontanka. A charming couple from Argentina joined our Original walking tour yesterday. At some point we stopped on a bridge over the Fontanka to look back at the blue domes of the Trinity Cathedral. The Argentines then did something totally casual for them - they whipped out a pack of mate and a cow-hoof cup, unpacked their thermos flask, and brewed up. Wow!
