Originally my Aspen Song, its title since became One More Irish Coffee as it relates to my first visits to Aspen way back in the seventies, when a lift ticket was $18 and a Masters or PhD could get a good job washing dishes at night making enough to ski by day. I moved there In 1980, and soon occasionally ventured out to an open mic hosted by Aspens Poet Lariat Dan Forde. Unsure why I didnt play it more often then, I started playing it more only recently and its now one of my most requested originals, was the first SongwriterStage theme song, and became also a favorite of my good friend Dick Patton without whom, btw, SongwriterStage might never have made it through its early days! I look forward to pouring it out again this Thursday night, aided by the GuitArtistry of Ritch Collins, as we share the SongwriterStage with Singer/Songwriters Douglas Imbrogno & Albert Frank Perrone and percussionist Marylin McKeown, aka Brother Sisters, 7-10 PM this Thursday at Timothys on Quarrier in Charleston, WV. SONGWRITERSTAGE - ALWAYS ORIGINAL!
