Orji Inaugurates Abia PDP Reconciliation Committee: ABIA State Governor Theodore Orji has constituted a seven member committee to reconcile former elective political office aspirants of the state People’s Democratic Party ( PDP) who were aggrieved with the conduct and result of the party primaries. The committee has the former national Chairman of the party Prince Vincent Eze Ogbulafor as Chairman, and members as Chiefs Dan Nwankwo, Chuku Wachuku, ex senate President Adolph Wabara, prof Samuel Igwe, lady Victoria Akanwa and Dr Emelike Okoro (Secretary). While inaugurating the committee at government house on Friday, Orji described their assignment as tasking, extremely and critically important in view of the tensions the party primaries generated. He however said that such was not unusual in a family like the PDP “ but we would not allow it to happen and decimate us. We have to be united enough to be able to face the opposition. There are bound to be losers and winners in every contest. You are to find what went wrong and reconcile aggrieved members. We want genuine reconciliation and we are confident that you will do well in this assignment”. Ogbulafor, who told the governor that his committee members are happy over the setting up of the committee and their selection for it, recalled that after he lost elections twice, he quickly embraced the winners and moved on with the party. “Our assignment is herculean, we will ensure we convince the aggrieved to be good sports men. We know you as a man of peace hence you also want peace in our party”.
