Oryan Moore SANTA ANA – A federal jury on Thursday found no excessive use of force in the shooting death of an unarmed man who ran from police. The police shooting that killed 25-year-old Manuel Diaz in July 2012 sparked a series of protests and melees in Anaheim. An investigation by the Orange County District Attorneys office found the officer who killed Diaz did not commit a crime. Diaz’s mother was seeking civil damages in federal court, alleging civil-rights violations. via OC Register
