Otieno Kajwang was the only person i ever knew that would express genuine happiness...his smiles with flashy eyes and teeth said it all. Viciously loyal to his political mentor, the one time suspended member of the Law Society of Kenya had no qualms singing to baba any song, any time. Some called him choirmaster; some even thought he came out childishly. Be that as it may, one thing stood out for the Hon. Kajwang; he knew how to resonate with the crowd and moment; he knew what button, in the machinery of politics was most valuable and knew exactly when to press it. Kajwang picked his path in the labyrinth of politics, followed it and always got himself home, in parliament. Hon. Kajwang was lovable; he could also be hated by some people, especially those who felt he was getting more than enough of his share of attention from Baba. He knew his thing, he did his thing....watching him recently belting out mapambano, death was the last thing that came to my mind. Hon. Kajwang would not die, has not died, will never die! He will be here with us for ever. If you need confirmation, ask Gilbert, my six year old boy to sing for you mapambano!
