Otis E. Moon, May 8, 1922 - October 19, 2014 Otis E. Moon, age 92 of South, KY passed away Sunday, October 19, 2014 in Bowling Green. The Grayson County native was born May 8, 1922 to the late Jessie & Nannie Willis Moon. Otis was a local business man and farmer, a veteran of the United States Navy, a member of the South Union General Baptist Church and a member of the Shrewsbury Masonic Lodge. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 63 years Evaline Pence Moon, his parents, one brother, Hubert Moon (Mildred) of South and one sister, Edith Johnson of Louisville, Kentucky. He is survived by several nieces and nephews that loved him very much. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday (October 23) at the South Union General Baptist Church with Bro. Jonathan Hodges & Bro. Roger Hodge officiating. Burial will be in the South Union Cemetery. Visitation will be held after 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m., Wednesday and from 9:00 a.m. until 12 noon Thursday at the Watson & Hunt Funeral Chapel in Leitchfield. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be made to the South Union Cemetery in his honor.
