Our 150th Anniversary of the Battle of the Crater events continue today with panel presentations in the City of Petersburg. The afternoon presentation, from 1:00 pm -3:00 pm, will be at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church located at 110 North Union Street in Petersburg. Ms. Heidi Campbell-Shoaf (Director/Chief Curator National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution Museum) and Park Ranger Emmanuel Dabney will discuss how the siege impacted the lives of the citizens of Petersburg. In the evening, from 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm, again at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, author Kevin Levin will speak on how Americans have remembered and commemorated one of the Civil War’s most devastating engagements.
