Our 1992 return to civilian rule was a democratic revolution; an institution of a kleptocratic constitutionalism. This is a subtle dichotomy which requires an urgent awakening of the consciousness of the masses of our people to understand and contribute effectively to eradicating. We must make democracy what it ought to be. Let us engage one another, educate ourselves and institute a checks and balances mechanism which will be an informed citizenry to keep the excesses of government in check. Democracy in our view gives room for everyone who has any views to express it and most importantly for such views to be respected and factored into the governments decision making process! Join us at the Ghana Street Parliament and let us make sure that the views of the people are loud and organized enough to influence the decision of government.
