Our 2012 Challenge was to make blocks for quilts with a Circus theme - two quilts were raffled to our members and a third was donated to the Venice Circus Arts Foundation. The Venice Circus Arts Foundation’s ‘First Annual Venice Circus Arena Revitalization Celebration and Open House’ is honored to host members of the alumni from Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey Clown College as they celebrate its 45th Anniversary. This event will be held at the historic Venice Circus Arena Grounds on October 12, 2013 from 10-4:30. Various local circus performers including Neesha Brown and her Amazing Dobermans will provide entertainment. There will also be a ‘Clown Costume Contest’ for children of all ages and even their pets. Members of the ‘Venice Area Quilters Guild’ will be presenting their Circus Quilt to the foundation. The event is open to the public. Admission is free. The Arena is located at 1401 Ringling Blvd, Venice, Florida. Follow the signs to the entry gate.
