Our 6th Scoop The Loop with a Salute To Science Fair program is now complete. We again dodged a weather bullet to have another successful event. I can not feel safe to say Scoop The Loop has now reached the point to say it is an anticipated summer event in Stuart and will live a long life. The first thank you I want to give is to those car owners who brought their treasures to our town with some weather concerns to share their beauty with us! Thank you all. We have expanded our Scoop The Loop team to add a group of car enthusiasts and they are making this a better event with their work to out reach others like them and to refine the event. Thanks to Norm Hauf, Nancy Vanlandingham, Jim Kalbach, Charlie Tuller, Tracy Foster, Tony James, and others. Your efforts to attract cars, register them, and reward the best is a great leap forward. Kim Avey, Gloria Jeanne Kalbach, Mindy Dickson, and Nadine Avey continue to make the Walking Taco and T-shirt booth work to help fund the event! Kim also has been my go to person for many details needed to make it all work!. Nate Westre always helps with our marketing and creative ideas as well. Thanks to Avey Sanitation for the donation of Kybos for the night. Much appreciated. Also a big thanks to Interstate Chevrolet for their financial support and use of a convertible. Thanks to the Stuart Herald for their ongoing coverage, bargain ad rate, and use of Kristy Lonsdales car! Thanks to K-107/Raccoon Valley Radio as they have been very supportive of this event. Thanks to Laura Woten and all who made the Salute To Science Fair work and honor Larry Schwinger. We have some issues to deal with and improvements to make but the event will continue due to the strength of the group and the support from the community. Thanks to all who are involved and those who come out to enjoy the night.
