Our American Hero US Marine Sergeant Brian StGermain Hometown: West Warwick, RI Brian StGermain grew up in West Warwick, RI. and graduated from West Warwick High School in 2001. His peers and teachers remember him as a hardworking honors student who was an All-State hurdler on the school’s track and field team. He was a racing fanatic and loved anything and everything to with cars and trucks. Brian was a wonderful boy from an amazing family who worked at Jerry’s Supermarket in West Warwick before joining the Marine Corps in 2002, graduating from Parris Island. He was currently serving his second tour in Iraq. StGermain was a motivated Marine who gave every ounce of his being to the mission, his fellow Marines, the Corps, and his country. He was promoted meritoriously to Corporal during his tour in Iraq and received a Navy Marine Corps Achievement Medal for his superior service. His duties in the Marine Corps consisted on working as a heavy equipment mechanic and a martial arts instructor. Brian became a hero at the age of 22 on April 2, 2006 during his second tour in Iraq in an accident. He was riding in a seven-ton truck when it rolled over in a flash flood near Asad, Iraq. Sergeant StGermain is the son of Lynn Adamo StGermain and Robert StGermain. In addition to his parents, he leaves a brother Nicholas. He is also survived by his paternal grandmother Louise StGermain. He was the grandson of the late Francis StGermain and Anthony and Marie Adamo.
