Our Best Helicopter Squadron 2014 – 125 SQN “Swift in Support” - This motto perfectly reflects 125 SQNs participation in SAF missions with aerial troop-lift and re-supply, as well as in special operations like counter-terrorism and Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) operations. 125 SQN has a rich operational heritage, having participated in HADR efforts for the Boxing Day Tsunami, and also counter-piracy operations in the Gulf of Aden under the multinational Combined Task Force 151. Entrusted with the responsibility of providing peacetime Search and Rescue (SAR) operations over the past three decades, 125 SQN has proven themselves time and time again by saving hundreds of lives by evacuating casualties in need of immediate medical attention to the hospital.
