Our Children, Our Future, Inc is conducting a donation drive. They have been doing a lot for the children in CV. From what I have been seeing, women, children and the elderly were evacuated first, often with only the clothes on the backs. Men stayed behind to try to salvage their belongings and livestock- their livelihoods- but now there is no way to get them out. The lava has destroyed some homes and is getting close to the school. The people will need items like clothes, shoes, toiletries and food. The children will need books, toys, schools supplies, etc. and food. I will post info on how to donate to them. There are going to be other fundraisers for Fogo and I will try to get the message out to our CV cousins who live outside of the New England area, where many of the fundraisers will be.
