Our Christmas performing this morning in Jacksonville, I am the one in the white shirt. Actually, I am the lowest, smallest head on the back row left of center, the group is full of abnormally tall mutants, which I define as people taller than me. You could hear me better if it werent for all the big mouths that sound like women in the group. They tell me theyre tenors and are functionally male, but I suspect most of them pee sitting down. 3:) kidding! What a delight to be in this brotherhood as one warm, moist, organic voice among many, creating art! There are woodwinds and brass instruments in orchestras, but we are living instruments. Over the months, I am learning so many things about choral technique and performance and, best of all, developing deepening friendships with the people around me. I value them all and the chance to give some of my precious hours of life to our common goals.
