Our Daily Food for the Soul for today, October 14, 2014: GIVING - So give for alms those things that are within; and see, everything will be clean for you. Luke 11:41 -:- I am part of a Catholic community that brings the Gospel to different areas here & abroad. In Tondo, Manila where I serve every Saturday morning. I see how God works in people who have less in life. They come every week, eager to hear the Good News. As they personally apply what the. Bible teaches, I witness the power of God moving in their lives. Testimonies of healing, answered prayers, new jobs & business opportunities & restored relationships abound in our gatherings. They have also learned to be generous to their other brothers & sisters, & to give whenever there is a need for the spread of the Gospel. Yes, they may be poor in the eyes of the world, but they are actually rich in the eyes of God. I can honestly say that I am among the richest people in the kingdom of God. I know in my heart that the greatest blessing they will receive is eternal life with Jesus, they will finally see their Master, the Object of their giving, face to face. -:-:-:- Lord, let me not hesistate to give because as I do so, I am giving to You.
