Our Devotion for today Tittle: The name of the Lord is a fortified tower Text: Prov 18: 10 10 The name of the Lord is a fortified tower; the righteous run to it and are safe. Amen The tower throughout history has provided its users with an advantage in surveying defensive positions and obtaining a better view of the surrounding areas, including battlefields. On the tower, one could see the approaching enemy from afar and prepare his defense ahead of time. We are surrounded by lots of negative forces that have sworn our downfall in every regard. They plot at night, while we sleep. They project spells and curses to frustrate your day and destroy your life. As the wicked advance against you, do not trust in your own abilities... run and seek refuge in the NAME OF THE LORD JESUS. GOD HAS EXALTED THIS NAME JESUS ABOVE ALL ELSE. At the mention of the name, every knee bows. The power in the name of Jesus is far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. (Eph 1: 21) Why should you waste away in depression and hopelessness? Why are you hiding where there is not safety? Dont be afraid of the arrows that fly by day nor the pestilence that fly by night. Believe in the name of the Lord Jesus and you will be saved, both you and your household. Run to Jesus and the enemies pursuing you shall retreat with a heavy fall... they can not stand the POWER of His presence. Lets pray Lord God almighty, we are grateful to have you as the tower that we find safety, rest and piece of mind whenever we are troubled either physically, emotionally or spiritually by the evil one. We thank you for being there for us. In Jesus name we pray. Amen
