Our EMS/First Aid Crew Chief, Kevin Romer, has been in charge of making sure that everyone at GrassRoots stays safe and healthy for 24 years running -- since the very beginning! Since suffering two heart attacks and being diagnosed with diabetes, he realized that it was time to take his own health advice seriously (to paraphrase, paramedic, heal thyself...) and get in shape, and he took up cycling. Hes now gearing up to ride 65 miles in the annual Tour de Cure - FLX to raise money for the American Diabetes Association. Hes an inspiration to us all, and were so very, very grateful for what he and his amazing team (including his wife, Kristen, who is also riding) do for us.
