Our East Texas community has again suffered a tragedy in the tragic death of 16 year old Adarian Parker of West Rusk High School as a result of an automobile crash last Friday. Adarian was very well respected by his peers and fellow football players, his teachers and coaches and all who knew him. Our sincere condolences and fervent prayers go out to his family, fellow students at West Rusk High School, and to his community. Adarian had his whole life in front of him, but it was so untimely cut short. Each year we lose on an average of 54,000 lives on our nations highways and roads, about as many who were killed in the entire Viet Nam War. Please work to prevent these senseless tragedies! As the star and host of the 1950s series HIGHWAY PATROL, Broderick Crawford always said at the conclusion of each show, Leave your blood with your local blood bank or the Red Cross, not on the highway! Drive responsibly and defensively!!
