Martin Luther King Jr. His excellency hopeful, your visit to the quintessential Mecca of Delta politics without doubt must have the intent of a pilgrimage to a LG so vital in your quest to clinch onto power in the February 28th electoral battle. With the usual pomp that must characterized the impending WEDNESDAY 28th visit by Chief Great Ovedje Ogboru to Ughelli North, LGA, one must not forget in a hurry the intractable problems in the LGA. As we jubilate about his coming, one must not forget the political topsy-turvy of the past years that had our people frustrated and tired of the PDP government led by Dr. Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan. The fact that our LG has for the most part been short-changed in all facets of developments - Our rural schools are poorly equipped and lacking in essential amenities needed to inculcate good knowledge to our students. Our schools has come to wear faces of dejection, dilapidation and complete ruin. His excellency hopeful, our popular oil company in Ughelli North as oil producing LGA is OKADA, living most of our youths dejected and idle with high rate of unemployment. No good roads, just one general hospital in a LGA with over 150000 populations. We live in hunger amidst huge oil wealth. While this problems are not your making, its only appropriate you take time to address our people how this problems shall be resolved in your administration. It will go a long way to win our people over as the PDP government has dealt with us. No employment, no good roads, no industry, no constant electricity etc. It is my believe that your visit to our LGA will bring to our people the promise of a better tomorrow. I therefore, call on all Ughelli North indigene to this time eschew the politics of divide and conquer instead let us deliver this best hand to help achieve the difficult task we could not achieve in the past.
