Our Fall Learning Series continues....Please join the CSU Learning Community on Wednesday, November 27, 5:00 - 7:00, for Music with Jane Wamsley. This will be an interactive experience where participants will be challenged to discover When Music is Play... This workshop will engage participants in examining how to use meaningful play to construct music knowledge and skills through chanting, singing, moving, playing instruments, listening and creating! Music play is exploring, imagining, discovering, and expressing new musical thoughts and ideas through the Creative and Critical Analysis Processes of the Ontario Music Curriculum. Questions to prompt inquiry are key as we play...because play matters! No previous music experience is needed! Jane Wamsley is a music educator who has taught at the elementary, secondary and university levels, and was the Coordinator of the Arts with HDSB. Jane was the Lead writer for the Ontario Ministry of Educations 2009 Music Curriculum, Project Leader and Editor for the Ministry-sponsored Ontario Music Educators Associations Elementary and Orff Music Units (2010), and was contributing author for both the Primary and Junior ETFO Arts Resources. Jane is a Certified Tribes Trainer, and leads workshops in Music and Integrated Arts around the province.
