Our Father, We are so grateful to have you as our Saviour, protector and comforter. The world is full of such sad news lately. The enemy is working overtime... but you are sovereign, on the throne, fully in control and you are mighty to save. You told us to not be afraid when we see the things unfolding in your Word... we are so grateful that we can always count on you to be our refuge and strength and our peace in troubled times. There are so many who are grieving and fearful as they deal with terrorists and extremists, natural disasters, extreme weather, wars, transportation accidents and economic collapse... and those are just the big things making the news. There is not a place in this world where there is not someone who is dealing with pain, uncertainty, fear, illness, poverty or loss. Lord, we pray for every person who is in harms way at this moment. We pray for those who are without food and shelter. We pray for everyone who is living with loss of every kind...we pray for the stressed and weary and for those who are depressed, hopeless and despairing of life. Lord, we ask for your divine intervention. We ask for you to stop any attacks that are about to be carried out and we ask for you to send your angels to those in need. We ask for you to bind the enemy in the name of Jesus. We pray for those who are languishing as prisoners because of their faith in you and we lift up everyone who has been displaced from their homes, family and possessions. The needs are overwhelming to us, Lord. So many who are praying with us are dealing with overflowing plates of adversity of their own and it can be hard to hear of all the other tragedies in the world...we just feel so helpless...but prayer is not a concession when we can do nothing else... You tell us the faithful prayers of a righteous person does much...you tell us to intercede for our brothers and sisters...to pray for our leaders and those in authority...to pray for our enemies...so we ask you to hear our cries and the groans where words fail. We ask you to do what only you can do...you are still the same God of miracles that you always were...the Mighty One who defeated death and made a way where there seemed to be no way... You are still the defender of orphans and widows...The Alpha and Omega...The Beginning and End...The God of Angel Armies...and we ask for your comfort, grace and mercy to rain down on hurting hearts and those who are crying out to you. Lord, we ask for you to reveal yourself to our enemies. May they see the truth of who you are and be saved. We want to pray big and bold today, Lord. Nothing is too hard or impossible for you! Please make your presence so real to those who are seeking deliverance, hope, healing and the truth about who you are. We thank you in advance for all you will do. Please fill us with your Holy Spirit and help us to be mighty prayer warriors, lights in the dark and witnesses for you until you call us home. In the name of Jesus we ask these things.
