Our Father, We praise you for who you are. How blessed we are to call you, Our Father... how blessed we are to have you with us each step of the way as we traverse up and down the mountains and the valleys of this life. Father, sometimes when the path before us seems long and we feel weary and not up to the task of trying to overcome the obstacles in front of us...it helps to remember all that you do for us...it helps to get our thoughts off of the rough roads and to think on you...it helps to weigh our circumstances in light of your power and your promises... so, Lord, this day...at this moment, we thank you for the things you promise us and we praise you for all the things you are to us... You are the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles (2 Corinthians 1:3-4) You are our helper, so we dont need to be afraid (Hebrews 13:6) You are the one who sustains us and doesnt let us fall ( Psalm 55:22) You care for those who trust in you (Nahum 1:7) You give us eternal life, and we will never perish and no one can snatch us out of your protective hand (John 10:27-28) You go before us... you never leave us or forsake us...you tell us not to be afraid or be discouraged. (Deuteronomy 31:8) You sympathize with our weakness, you have been tempted in every way, so you understand us and you tell us to come to your throne with confidence to receive mercy and to find grace in our times of need (Hebrews 4:15-16) Lord, there is so much more in your word that describes who you are and so there are so many more promises for us to claim, but just thinking on these reminds us... that what you call us to, you equip us for....we are reminded that anything you have allowed into our lives it is for our good and your glory....and you will always help us to face what is in front of us with your help. When we cry to you, you are faithful to answer...you never turn us away or cast us aside. You take our hurts and you heal them...you give, but not as the world gives...what is done in you, will last forever. Thank you Lord for bearing our burdens...thank you for sustaining us...thank you for binding our wounds and healing our hearts. Thank you for understanding us like no one else and thank you for encouraging us and being our advocate and fighting for us...thank you for believing in us and for loving us with a love that we cant begin to fully comprehend. We give you this day and all thats in it, Lord we know because of you, we can face all things ... we thank you for loving us and caring for us so well In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen
