Our Friday evening of kung fu life over Vietnamese Pho with Mike - TopicsExpress

Our Friday evening of kung fu life over Vietnamese Pho with Mike Lee, Mike Tom, Phillip Pang and later Roger Valle was about the basic everyday male topics of Women, Kung Fu, Comedy and Relationships. We went to Downtown San Jose to see Russell Peters LIVE! Somehow the Chinese Proverb 劍 膽 琴 心 (pronounced Geem Dahm Come Sum) came about. It literally means, Sword Bravery Zither Heart. Translates as Braveheart from the Mel Gibson movie but with the delicate and cautious refinement of playing a Zither (or Piano). So when we seek and engage a prospective life partner we need to have courage and refinement as if she (he) was an opponent. This applies to martial arts and to marital pursuits. Stand up comedy and spontaneous romantic pursuits both need bravery with a sensitive heart to every move and to the choice of our words and our follow-through. In Kung Fu and Life we are to be mindful of this proverb as it is all about Yin Yang again. Bravery needs company and its best companion is refined sensitivity. By the way Russell Peters was hilarious last night - thank you Mike Lee for the tickets! 梅 玉 Moy Yuk
