Our Fund works closely with our SLO County Animal Services to help find new families for homeless cats and dogs. We would like to recognize how tirelessly they (as well as the other humane societies & SPCAs) work to compensate for the lack of public responsibility & knowledge. Education is key...educating about spaying & neutering (it literally saves lives) & the importance of microchipping & wearing a collar with tags. Our Central Coast counties are fortunate to have shelters that are capable of trying to make a difference, as many other counties do not or cannot. If you are able to volunteer at your local shelter, humane society or SPCA, please do so. The more we know...the more we grow.
