Our Global Innovation Campaign Theme for May: International Biodiversity #IIA4U International Biodiversity Day (22 May) aims to increase understanding and raise awareness of the value of biodiversity – the variety of ecosystems, different species and genetic life present on earth. Each of these living groups plays a critical role in supporting human life; the richer the diversity of life, the greater the opportunity for a sustainable and healthy future for all. We fully support these important aims but would take things one step further. As consultant engineers, we believe it is time to change perceptions of what ecological processes and working with nature can achieve in protecting our valuable biodiversity.
