Our GoFundraise fundraising campaign closes at the end of this month so we are getting desperate to raise the funds to ensure we get to Papua New Guinea. On Day 4 of our Kokoda Challenge the IYLP participants will be building a class room for the Launumu village which is about half way along the Kokoda track. The village has a population of around 40 which includes 22 orphans ranging in age from 2 – 14. The opportunity to complete this Community Development activity in Launumu is the highlight for me. We will also be taking children’s reading books, clothing and some small and light sports equipment for the class room. As IYLP participants we are fundraising $4500 each to enable us to participate in the Kokoda component of the program. If you are able to assist in this fundraising any donations will be greatly appreciated. All donations over $2 are fully tax deductible and a receipt is provided.
