Our God is greater, our God is stronger, God you are Higher than any other - awesome in power - our God! Worship lifted up our God today. A video clip reminded us that this year has to be different. The message reminded us that above everything else we have to get to Jesus. The story in Luke 5:18-26 speaks to men who decided nothing was going to stop them from getting their friend to Jesus. They did something drastic. They received the unexpected when Jesus forgave his sin before healing him. They created God space - tearing a hole in the roof and lowering the man right in front of Jesus - we must create space to get to Jesus! Proverbs says reverence for God adds hours to each day. Jesus sent the man home with a reminder as well - take your mat and go home - not put it in the trash, take it home. I think it was a constant reminder in his living room of the day he got to Jesus, the day he overcame the crowd and got to Christ. There is one need for all of us at Velocity above everything else - get to Jesus! Remarkable things will happen if we will choose to live like this - a life without regret.
