Our Government has just signed a free trade agreement with South Korea. This state-of-the-art agreement will create new opportunities for Canadians in every region of the country, including right here in Portage-Lisgar. South Korea is already Manitoba’s sixth-largest export destination, with exports averaging $143.8 million each year. With the signing of this historic agreement, that number is sure to climb. Overall, our Government has concluded 38 free trade agreements with countries around the world in the last 8 years, and we are currently negotiating with many more. That’s a record I’m proud of.
