Veterinarians who encounter signs of animal abuse throughout the course of their work can be reluctant to report it for fear of legal recourse. Fortunately, Governor Inslee signed into law S.B. 5102, a bill sponsored by Senator Maralyn Chase that provides veterinarians with immunity from liability when reporting suspected animal cruelty. This new law will save countless animals from enduring ongoing abuse."
