Our Gracious God, We truly can only imagine what it will be - TopicsExpress

Our Gracious God, We truly can only imagine what it will be like to be in your presence, Lord….surrounded by your glory…no eye has seen anything like your splendor and majesty. We try to imagine from the descriptions we’ve been given in the Bible, but it was written with human words trying to explain what is incomprehensible and incomparable. We can only imagine the peace that will engulf us when we are embraced by Jesus with His nail pierced hands. We can only imagine the love that will fill our hearts to overflowing… these earthly bodies could not contain what we will receive when we trade the perishable for the imperishable. We can only imagine the sounds of angels singing praises to your name…we can only imagine, Lord… but we ask as we pray now, for a glimpse of you and the hope that awaits us.Lord, as we pray, please calm our hearts and clear our heads. May we focus on You this moment and may we feel Your Holy Spirit touch us. For just these few moments, may we be lost in Your love and free from worldly cares. May we feel the hope and joy that comes from knowing that someday we will have no more pain, worries, cares or sadness. May we feel joy, instead of sadness, when we think of our loved ones that have gone before us who are now healed, whole and joy filled at this very moment. May we set aside our sense of loss for this moment, to rejoice for their gain. Lord, we welcome you into our hearts, homes and our lives. We ask, Lord for you to anoint us with your favor. We ask for your blessing to be upon us, so we can bless others. We ask for your angels to surround and to protect those who we love. We ask that for you to lead us, guide us and hold us close as you walk with us… like a Father holds the hand of his child. Lord, please forgive us of our sins. May we be washed white as snow. May others see you in us. Give us strength, Lord, for the journey ahead. May we not falter or fail in the tests that we face. We pray for your grace and mercy to rain down upon us now, Father. Please pour your living water into the dry, parched places in our souls. We ask to exhale stress and breathe in your peace. Thank you, Lord for wanting to spend time with us. Thank you for your loving concern for us. Thank you for holding us close to your heart and in the palm of your hand. We praise you Lord and we lift your name on high. Worthy are you to be praised, Lord. In the name above all names we pray, Amen. May you renewed, refreshed and restored! In His love!
