Our Greatest Treasure Proverbs 15:16 Better is a little with the fear of the Lord, than great treasure with trouble. This proverb brings out a great truth that many people do not know. A person is much better off having a close relationship with God, rather than having great riches. A lot of stress comes with having money, or material things. We work to keep what we have, sometimes in excessive ways. We question people’s motives more, when we are well off financially. We are also required to make big decisions that affect not only us, but other people. Some people who are very prosperous financially, also have a tendency to become distant from God. When we walk close with the Lord, and we don’t have very much in the way of money and possessions, we learn to depend on Him more. There are also fewer things that can come between us and God. We have a tendency to be closer to Him. We certainly don’t have to be poor, in order to be close to God. After all, He has given us this world to use for what we want and need. But we must always put God first, no matter how much, or how little we have in the way of wealth. We must always remember that our greatest treasure is the Lord by admin Angel
